Sports Talk Radio, 610 WIP hosted its 12th annual WING BOWL ( wing eating
competition ) in the Wachovia Center Friday Jan. 30th, 2004 . This event
was created by Al Morganti ( WIP Radio Host ) to give the Philadelphia
Sports fan an event to look forward to every year while waiting for
the Philadelphia Eagles to win a Trip to the Super Bowl. Starting out
12 years ago in the lobby of a Hotel, this event grew to fill the Wachovia
Center holding 22,000 fans to watch a parade of eaters , entourage and
wingettes make their way to main event. This year, has brought in circuit
competitive eaters from around the country, which without a doubt had
to be one of, if not the best Wing Bowls yet. Hats off to 610 WIP for
pulling off such an event that is causing a stir nation wide, making
the Wing Bowl the most sought after event to come to in the Football
seasons end. |
